Global Risk Reduction Special Interest Group

Welcome to the Global Risk Reduction Special Interest Group.

SIG listing
Objective: to evaluate risks of human extinction and develop ideas for reducing those risks.
See books: Sir Martin Rees, OUR FINAL HOUR; Posner, CATASTROPHE.
Example: Mini black hole production is predicted at upcoming particle colliders. Black holes are supposed to evaporate via Hawking radiation, but that radiation is controversial. A cosmic ray/collider analogy is supposed to demonstrate safety, but that analogy is inexact.

This is an American Mensa special interest group. Folks who are not members are welcome to view this website and help with projects.
